Just Us United is excited to announce that our first two Dine Out for Democracy fundraisers were a success!
We raised around $10,000 to support Just Us United’s work in promoting voter education, engagement, and participation, around the issues of high-quality public education, healthcare, tax reform, and sustainable energy practices.
A huge thank you to T.MAC, Westville Pub, Over Easy Cafe, Todd's Tasties, Proper, Sono Japanese Restaurant, The Hop, Glass Onion, and Twisted Laurel.

COMMUNITY MEET & GREETS
We hold community events to get to know our supporters, donors, and volunteers. These social events provide an invaluable opportunity to learn more about what you care about and make sure we are on the right track!
DEVELOPMENT EVENTS
ENGAGING WITH STUDENTS
We engage students in schools around Western NC to speak with high school and college students about civic engagement.
We discuss important issues in the upcoming North Carolina 2016 elections, and students participate in excercises in which they envision their ideal NC.
VOTER REGISTRATION
Just Us United regularly organizes, facilitates, and participates in voter registration drives across the state. Including with the NAACP and Democracy NC, as well as other coalition members in the Western NC area.

PUBLIC FORUMS
Just Us United has helped to organize, facilitate, and participate in multiple forums across Western North Carolina on a variety of issues; including public hearings on coal ash pollution, the closure of central elementary school in Waynesville, and get to know your representative meetings around Western NC.
DIRECT ACTION
As an organization, we regularly participate in the Moral March in Raleigh, we organize letter writing parties to the editors of local papers to raise awareness about important issues. We phonebank, crowd-canvass, and door to door canvass to talk to voters one on one. We also organize opportunities for our communities to contact their representatives and hold them accountable.
